The Sesotec metal detector uses an electromagnetic field generated by a transmitter coil to detect metal contaminants. Balanced receiver coils monitor the field, and when metal passes through the detection area, it disturbs the field. The system processes this disturbance and generates a metal detection signal for rejection or alarm handling.
